The result was more than $38,000 raised, a 100km ride from Brisbane to the Gold Coast, and recognition as the 2026 Top Fundraising Corporate for the second consecutive year. #### The MITO Sundowner The initiative began with the 2026 MITO Sundowner, an afternoon event at The Star Brisbane that brought together customers, supply partners and industry colleagues in support of the Mater Foundation and its work in cancer research, clinical trials and patient care. With guest speaker presentations from Corey Oates, former Brisbane Broncos player and Mater Foundation ambassador along with Professor John Hooper, Senior Research Fellow at Mater Research sharing insights and inspiring stories.
