Santos, a global energy company, and Marubeni Itochu Tubulars Oceania (MITO), a subsidiary of Marubeni-Itochu Steel Inc. and the largest supplier of tubular products in the Oceania region, proudly commemorate their remarkable 35-year partnership.

Throughout the past three and a half decades, Santos and MITO have forged a strategic partnership based on collaboration, innovation, trust, and commitment to delivering outstanding operational results.

In 1987, the two organisations began the business relationship, with MITO supporting Santos with many complex projects starting with operations in the Cooper Basin, and over the years developing to CSG in Queensland, onto offshore in Western Australia and more recently carbon capture and storage. The two organisations have worked through various market and industry changes over the years and continue to deliver operational excellence.

"Our collaboration with Santos has been built on a foundation of trust, respect, and a shared pursuit of excellence. We are immensely proud to be part of Santos success over the past 35 years, and we look forward to further strengthening our partnership to address the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead” said Mr Hakim Messoussa, Managing Director of MITO.

“As we celebrate this 35-year milestone, MITO stay focussed on driving sustainable growth, fostering innovation, and making a positive impact on the communities in which we operate” he added.
