At MITO, we collaborate closely with our customers to understand their operational needs and offer a full suite of casing equipment and accessories. MITO has specifically designed casing with speed in mind, introducing Welda Quick Connect, a high-performing, flush connection for Mining applications.

Welda is an innovative quick connection designed with a blunt start and 3 thread per Inch (TPI) coarse thread to deliver quick and easy make-up in less than 7 turns. To help you run casing faster, the connector is a submerged arc welded to the pipe body to ensure a weld that is tough and reliable. Welda has undergone a series of qualification testing including Non-Destructive Testing, Make and Break, Torque, Tensile and Hydrostatic Tests.

In addition to Welda, MITO has a range of API connection OCTG products and accessories to suit mining applications.

Welda product features

Internal shoulder with radial seal design for enhanced leak resistance.
Blunt start to avoid cross threading.
3 thread per Inch (TPI) with taper of 0.5 degree for easy and accurate stab.
Fast make up (less than 7 turns) and reduced cross threading.
External shoulder for increased torque range and capacity Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) to deliver a weld stronger than the pipe body.
